BILL BRIDGMAN
Following a career in business, and thinking that retirement would consist mostly of hobbies and sports, Bill became increasingly concerned about the deteriorating condition of our government in Washington. His conclusion was that a deep structural flaw in Congress’s accountability framework was the key cause of dysfunction. The members of Congress simply do not have enough incentive and accountability for reaching bipartisan consensus on important national issues.
The next question was what to do about it. The answer: the Public Check on Congress amendment establishing a significant measure of collective congressional accountability.
